The newest licensed "Fast Casual" restaurant and #1 late night place to snack. Serving unique twice cooked Belgian Frites, authentic Belgian and artisan draught beer. Choose from 3 sizes of Frites and a bunch of sauces in an environment that is Old World Belgium meets the West Coast!
What makes a Belgium Frite?
Too many bars, brasseries, restaurants in the world serve so-called Belgian frites but they don’t know what they are talking about. Just serving thick-cut fries does not make them Belgian Frites to start with. Also, 95% of them are frozen stuff. It is a disgrace they call them Belgian Frites, even if they have been imported from Belgium.
So it's time for a (simple) definition of what makes fries Belgian Fries:
- freshly cut, irregularly shaped
- cooked (fried) twice
- fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside
- a distinct potato taste
- at least 10 mm thick
- preferably served in a paper cone
If 1 of these characteristics is absent, please do not use the term Belgian Fries, just call them fries (or French fries if you prefer).
